Jessica Lange tells PEOPLE that being a young grandma is 'like having a second crop of children.' The Tony Award-winning actress has two granddaughters, Adah and Ilse.

In Mother Play, she portrays the harsh matriarch Phyllis to Carl ( Jim Parsons) and Martha (Celia Keenan-Bolger). Lange previously told PEOPLE that being part of Mother Play with Parsons, 51, and Keenan-Bolger, 46, “has been one of the great joys of my life.” Lange, Parsons and Keenan-Bolger all received 2024 Tony Award nominations for their performances in Mother Play, which is on Broadway at the Hayes Theater through June 16.
