Jessica Alves to release comic book about her life as she documents her transition, £1million-worth of plastic surgery and her childhood struggles in a bid to help others

Jessica Alves is to release a comic book about her life and her transition from male to female.

While Jessica was assigned male at birth, she considered herself to be female from 'the age of three, four, five, six', playing with Barbie dolls bought for her by her grandfather when she was younger. She told MailOnline: 'After so many plastic surgeries and treatments to change my appearance, and now to preserve my looks, I feel confident to tell my life story in an upcoming comic book. Jessica added she wanted to speak out to make people aware of the dangers of plastic surgery and that the negative health issues she had suffered had contributed to her decision to stop going under the knife.
