A slew of Hollywood stars, filmmakers and other artists are calling on California Governor Gavin Newsom to sign a new AI safety bill.

Other high-profile artists signing the letter include Pedro Pascal, Shonda Rhimes, Alec Baldwin, JJ Abrams, Mark Ruffalo, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Jean Smart, Hannah Einbinder, Patrick J. Adams, Ava DuVernay, Rosie O’Donnell, Mark Hamill, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Allison Janney, Judd Apatow, Fran Drescher, Sean Astin, Janelle Monáe, Don Cheadle, Jason Alexander, Mariska Hargitay, Sophia Bush, Connie Britton, Mahershala Ali, Annaleigh Ashford, Alyssa Milano, Rosanna Arquette, John Cho, Jennifer Beals and Tom Arnold.
