Jesse Eisenberg Says Emma Stone 'Assaulted Me with Insults' in Her Zombieland Audition — but It Got Her the Part

Jesse Eisenberg recalled first meeting Emma Stone during her 'Zombieland' audition during a Nov. 1 interview with SiriusXM’s 'The Spotlight with Jessica Shaw.'

Eisenberg, 41, reminisced about the first time he ever met the Poor Things actress during a Nov. 1 interview on SiriusXM’s The Spotlight with Jessica Shaw, explaining that it was at Stone's audition for 2009’s Zombieland. Stone and her husband, comedy writer Dave McCary, 39, produced Eisenberg’s 2022 directorial debut When You Finish Saving the World, which starred Julianne Moore and Finn Wolfhard. The film, released in select theaters on Nov. 1, follows neurotic David (Eisenberg) as he travels through Poland with his free-spirited cousin, Benji ( Kieran Culkin).
