Jermaine Jenas's text messages were raised with BBC before The One Show sacking


Jermaine Jenas has been axed by the BBC following allegations about his conduct in the workplace, as it's reported that communications including texts were raised with the corporation

Known as a familiar face on Match of the Day and pegged as a possible Gary Lineker successor, Jermaine has also featured on The One Show, becoming a permanent fixture in 2021. He provided commentary for BBC coverage of Euro 2024, covering the semi-final where Spain emerged victorious over France. It's believed that Jermaine had been previously identified as the long-term successor to Gary, leading the BBC's premier football programme, Match of the Day.
