Jermaine Jenas says he was 'blocked' from apologising directly to female colleagues amid texting scandal


The axed One Show presenter confessed to feeling 'ashamed' after being sacked by the BBC for sending inappropriate texts to female colleagues and said he tried to apologise

Jermaine, in the aftermath of a scandal putting the BBC once more in the hot seat, refuted claims of sending explicit images or footage, reports the Mirror. Revealing to The Sun on Sunday, he said: "When it was all unfolding and I knew I was losing my job, I asked HR if I could contact the two women directly and apologise to both of them. Jermaine on the One Show alongside Alex Jones (Image: BBC)An insider told the Sun:"Presenters, cast and crew have all been asked not to contact him whilst legal matters are ongoing."
