Jeremy Renner Reveals He Turned Down Mission: Impossible Role to Spend Time with Daughter: ‘I Gotta Be a Dad’


Jeremy Renner revealed he turned down the reprise of his character in 'Mission: Impossible' to spend time with his daughter. The Marvel star, 53 is dad to Ava, 11, with ex Sonni Pacheco.

On the Tuesday, June 4 episode of the Happy Sad Confused podcast, the Marvel star, 53, told host Josh Horowitz that he was asked to reprise his role of William Brandt in Mission: Impossible — Fallout, but turned it down to spend time with his 11-year-old daughter Ava, who he shares with ex Sonni Pacheco. Renner did add some good news for Mission: Impossible fans, sharing, “When my daughter’s older, maybe there’s more of an opportunity do something.” In the rare video of the father-daughter pair, Ava had her arms around Renner, hugging her father while he planted a kiss on her forehead.
