Jeremy Kyle arrives to give evidence at coroner's court after man died after appearing on his ITV show
The presenter arrived at the court in Winchester Coroner’s Court for the hearing over the man's death after appearing in the lie detector segment of the Jeremy's ITV morning show
Chris Wissun, director of content compliance at ITV at the time, previously told the hearing that Mr Dymond’s first application to the show had been turned down because he had revealed that he had been diagnosed with depression and prescribed anti-depressants. Mr Wissun explained that the lie detector segment “was a very well-established editorial feature of the programme,” revealing that the moment the results were announced brought an “element of drama” to the show. The inquest also heard a witness statement by Mr Dymond’s son, Carl Woolley, revealing that his dad claimed he felt like “he was thrown under a bus” by events on the show and that Jeremy had 'egged on' the audience to boo him.
