Jeremy Allen White Teases Bruce Springsteen Biopic ‘Deliver Me From Nowhere’: “I Feel Really Lucky”

Two-time Emmy winner Jeremy Allen White teased his forthcoming role as Bruce Springsteen in the biopic Deliver Me From Nowhere.

Speaking to Deadline during the 76th Primetime Emmy Awards, White said he was reluctant to discuss the film until he got to work on it but has been grateful for the direction and support he’s received from the creatives involved, as well as the legendary rock singer-songwriter himself. From 20th Century Studios, Scott Cooper’s film, based on Warren Zanes’ eponymous book, traces Springsteen’s long journey toward putting together his seminal 1982 album Nebraska, which began to take shape as the guitarist and the E Street Band were working on the hit record Born in the USA. White is coming off a second Emmy win in the Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series category for his portrayal of the obsessive and talented young chef Carmy Berzatto in FX’s The Bear, about a man who returns to his hometown in Chicago to restore his late brother’s locally beloved sandwich shop.
