But the real gem was from a German-speaking fan who initially wrote “Das wohlt ich schon immer sagen” (which means “That’s what I’ve always wanted to say”). McCarthy, who has professed her love for animals on many past occasions, has to really work a crowd, or selectively use that weapon of puppy eyes for her own gain.
