The retired MLB star didn’t elaborate on his decision to reshare the quote, which came about an hour after news broke that Lopez—without an attorney present—filed for divorce from Affleck, her husband of two years. Lopez filed for divorce from Affleck exactly two years to the day after their Georgia wedding ceremony, listing their official date of separation as April 26, 2024. According to a PEOPLE report, Affleck—who shares Violet, 18, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12, with ex-wife Jennifer Garner —had spent much of the summer apart from Lopez and showed no interest in fixing their marriage.
