Jennifer Lopez to Host American Music Awards in May
Jennifer Lopez will host the AMAs on Memorial Day, returning as host for the first time in 10 years.
“We are thrilled to welcome Jennifer Lopez back to host the American Music Awards,” said Jay Penske, CEO of Dick Clark Productions, in a statement. Her reappearance as host is not a complete surprise, as Lopez teased a comeback in that role when she appeared on the AMAs’ 50th anniversary special six months ago. Producers previously announced that the show will use its new Memorial Day slot to “pay special tribute to our U.S. troops and veterans through authentic performances and unforgettable moments.”
