Jennifer Lawrence to Star in A24’s ‘Why Don’t You Love Me?,’ Adapted From Paul B. Rainey’s Graphic Novel
Jennifer Lawrence is leading a movie adaptation of Paul B. Rainey's darkly funny graphic novel 'Why Don't You Love Me?,' produced by A24.
Lawrence is also a producer alongside Justine Ciarrocchi for Excellent Cadaver; Ari Aster, Lars Knudsen and Emily Hildner of Square Peg are also on board. Lawrence launched the production company Excellent Cadaver in 2018 and teamed with A24 for the release of its first film, 2022’s “Causeway,” which landed Brian Tyree Henry an Oscar nomination for best supporting actor. Since then, Excellent Cadaver has boarded Sahra Mani’s documentary “Bread & Roses,” about women in Afghanistan and the role of the Taliban since 2021, and produced “No Hard Feelings,” an R-rated sex comedy that earned Lawrence a Golden Globe nod.
