Jennifer Lawrence and Amy Schumer Have Scrapped Their Sisters Comedy

Jennifer Lawrence and Amy Schumer revealed that they've decided to scrap a comedy film in which they were set to play sisters.

The project was first teased back in 2015, right as Lawrence was about to wrap The Hunger Games franchise with Mockingjay – Part 2, and Schumer was coming off the massive success of her Judd Apatow-directed comedy, Trainwreck. Schumer recently dropped the second season of her Hulu series, Life and Beth, while she’s also set to appear in two movies this year: Jerry Seinfeld’s upcomingPop Tarts flick Unfrosted and John Krasinski’s IF. Lawrence’s most recent project was the 2023 comedy No Hard Feelings, which earned her a Best Actress nomination at the Golden Globes earlier this year (at the ceremony, she jokingly threatened to leave if she didn’t win — before promptly losing to friend Emma Stone).
