Jennie Garth opens up about Shannen Doherty's cancer death - as she reveals how Beverly Hills, 90210 cast are supporting each other through 'sad times'
Shannen sadly passed away at the age of 53 on July 13 after years of living with breast cancer, and Jennie, 52, said she was 'still processing the grief' and described the loss as 'shocking.'
During an appearance on Today on Friday morning, Jennie, 52, spoke to hosts Sheinelle Jones, Al Roker, and Jacob Soboroff, and admitted the news was 'still really fresh.' The Urbana, Illinois-born actress, who played the role of Kelly Taylor on 292 episodes on the hit Fox series from 1990–2000, said that the deaths of her longtime colleagues made her 'feel very fearful' about the topic of mortality. In the months after Luke's 2019 death, Jennie and Tori reunited with costars Shannen, Jason Priestley, Brian Austin Green, Gabrielle Carteris and Ian Ziering for the show BH90210, in which the performers played fictionalized versions of themselves.
