“I didn’t know what to say or do.” It wasn’t until the SAG-AFTRA strike brought Hollywood to a halt while Ortega was in the midst of filming Tim Burton’s “Beetlejuice” sequel that she was able to take a breather and gain some much-needed perspective. She’s a newcomer to the franchise joining returning players Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder and Catherine O’Hara. And it’s also really strange because it’s a lot of catching up and putting the pieces together of what’s gone on in Lydia’s life since, which is nice, I think, for anybody who loves the character and is excited to see her again.”
