Was Jeffrey Dean Morgan originally going to play Batman? The actor reveals the scrapped plans for Thomas Wayne to appear in a Flashpoint adaptation.

Though it didn’t take long for gears to start spinning in fans’ minds, leading many to conclude this was all a tease for a future Flashpoint film with Morgan as Batman. And, even though Flashpoint did get adapted on the silver screen, Thomas Wayne was pushed to the side in order to bring Michael Keaton back as Batman. Given how badly fans have wanted to see Jeffrey Dean Morgan play an evil version of Batman, it’s a truly massive shame that this proposed Flashpoint project never came to life.
