Jeff Bridges Returning For ‘Tron: Ares’


Jeff Bridges is set for a role in 'Tron: Ares' after starring in both past installments in the franchise, Deadline has confirmed.

Academy Award winner Jeff Bridges is set to return for Tron: Ares, his third film in the long-running sci-fi franchise from Disney, sources have confirmed to Deadline. Also starring Greta Lee, Evan Peters, Hasan Minhaj, Jodie Turner-Smith, Arturo Castro, Cameron Monaghan, and Gillian Anderson, pic’s director is Joachim Rønning, who helmed both Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales and Maleficent: Mistress of Evil for Disney following his breakout with 2012’s Kon-Tiki. The Tron franchise launched with the seminal 1982 title of the same name starring Jeff Bridges as video game creator Kevin Flynn, which was lauded for its visual effects and developed a cult classic following after a tough go in its theatrical run.
