A cause of death for Jeff Baena, the indie writer/filmmaker known for Life After Beth and The Little Hours, has been revealed, per a report by the County of Los Angeles Medical Examiner. In addition to the aforementioned films, both starring Plaza, Baena is also known for Joshy(2016), Horse Girl(2020), Spin Me Round(2022) and for co-writing I Heart Huckabees(2004). Sundance Film Festival said in a statement: “We extend our heartfelt thanks to Jeff Baena for sharing his stories and contributing to the lasting memories we’ve built together.
