Jayme Lawson is the latest new addition to the cast of Ryan Coogler's supernatural thriller starring Michael B. Jordan.
EXCLUSIVE: Jayme Lawson( The Batman) is the newest addition to the cast of the untitled event film, starring Michael B. Jordan, that Ryan Coogler is directing for Warner Bros. Previously portraying Gotham City Mayor Bella Reál in Matt Reeves’ The Batman for Warner Bros, Lawson has also been seen in films including Chinonye Chukwu’s Till, Gina Prince-Bythewood’s The Woman King and Neon’s How to Blow Up a Pipeline. A Juilliard grad who made her feature film debut in the Sundance pic Farewell Amor, Lawson garnered critical praise for her performance as civil rights activist Betty Shabazz in Nat Geo/Disney+’s Genius: MLK/X, opposite Kelvin Harrison Jr. and Aaron Pierre, and was also seen sharing the role of Michelle Obama in Showtime’s The First Lady with the show’s producer Viola Davis.
