Jay-Z’s Accuser Can Remain Anonymous, Judge Criticizes His Lawyer’s ‘Relentless’ Filings

Jay-Z and Sean 'Diddy' Combs' accuser can proceed anonymously in her lawsuit alleging the moguls sexually assaulted her when she was a teen.

New York Judge Analisa Torres also condemned the legal team representing Jay-Z for the “relentless filing of combative motions containing inflammatory language and ad hominem attacks [on accuser’s lawyer, Tony Buzbee],” according to a court order obtained by Variety. “Since Carter’s attorney first appeared in this case seventeen days ago, he has submitted a litany of letters and motions attempting to impugn the character of Plaintiff’s lawyer [Buzbee].” Jane Doe claims she was living in Rochester in 2000 when she made her way to New York City and befriended a limousine driver who drove her to an after-party for the MTV Music Awards, where she says she was raped by Jay-Z and Combs.
