Jay Slater's mother has hit out at a former detective who offered to help the family, after he shared details of his investigation on social media. The discovery led to heart-wrenching scenes in his hometown, and investigative journalist Mark Williams-Thomas, who had pledged to find answers during Jay's disappearance, has once more commented on the case. The initial post-mortem suggested Jay's tragic end came from a "fall or plunge from height", with officials confirming his severe injuries involved multiple broken bones.
