Jay Slater latest: body found in search for missing British teenager
Police said: 'Everything is pointing to the body being that of the young British man who disappeared'
A spokesman for the Guardia Civil explained that "everything is pointing" to it being the Brit and suggested he had suffered an accident in the area he was discovered. Jay, 19, was last heard from after setting off to walk from the north of the island back to where he was staying in the south - a journey by foot of about 11 hours. At 8.30am the day he went missing, he called his friend Lucy Law saying that his phone battery was on 1% power and he'd cut his leg on a cactus after failing to catch a bus back to his accommodation.
