Jason Statham’s ‘Mutiny’ From ‘Plane’ Director Jean-Francois Richet Acquired for U.K. by Sky Original Film (EXCLUSIVE)
Sky Original Film has acquired U.K. rights to upcoming action-thriller 'Mutiny,' starring Jason Statham.
Action star Statham’s 2024 release “The Beekeeper,” produced by Punch Palace Productions and directed by David Ayer, grossed $152 million at the global box office. Julia Stuart, director of original film at Sky, said: “’Mutiny’ was an irresistible project for us – a perfect combination of two action powerhouses Jason Statham and Jean-Francois Richet, which we know is going to deliver an unforgettable experience for viewers. ‘The Beekeeper’ was a huge hit for us, so it’s fantastic to add another Statham-powered title to our slate and to work alongside Lionsgate to bring this high octane project to international audiences.”
