Jason Segel will be honored with the inaugural Variety Creative Impact in Television Award at the Newport TV Fest on Sunday, June 8. The actor’s television credits also include “Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty” and “Dispatches from Elsewhere,” the latter of which he created, wrote, directed, produced and starred in. It’s an honor to present this inaugural award to a true creative talent, displayed through emotionally raw performances and writing,” said Variety Senior TV Features Editor Emily Longeretta.
