Jason Kelce Had Eagles Trainer Who's Fighting Cancer Tape Up His Ankles for Retirement Announcement

Kelce tapped one of the Eagles' longtime trainers for a special assignment ahead of announcing his retirement after 13 NFL seasons.

As most NFL fans know by now, Jason fought back tears at a news conference in Philadelphia on Monday to announce his retirement from the Eagles after 13 seasons. @trainerjoeo/Instagram@trainerjoeo/Instagram"You all know about the on-field accomplishments, and many of the off-field ones, too, but what this man has meant to me and now my family over the past decade plus is nearly indescribable," Joe wrote in a lengthy tribute to Jason on Instagram. "I taped this guy's ankles and thumbs everyday for 13 seasons, and when he played his last game in Tampa, again I couldn't be there due to cancer," Joe continued in his tribute.
