Jared Padalecki Re-Ups First-Look Deal With CBS Studios Amid ‘Fire Country’ Spinoff Buzz

CBS Studios has extended first-look deal with Jared Padalecki amid buzz that he may headline a 'Fire Country' spinoff as he guest stars on mothership.

Both dramas were caught up in the ownership change at the CW, with the mothership making it to this year when it was canceled for financial reasons despite being the network’s most watched series. Keeping Padalecki in the fold has been a priority for CBS Studios following the end of Walker, leading to the guest-starring opportunity for him on Fire Country where he will play Camden, a SoCal firefighter and maverick with a surfer swagger who is a force to be reckoned with and immediately recognizes Bode’s (Max Thieriot) raw talent. Since the end of Walker, Padalecki also has discussed a role on the upcoming fifth and final season of Prime Video’s The Boys, ran by Supernatural creator Eric Kripke.
