Janet Jackson will be receivingan ICON honor at the 2025 American Music Awards on May 26. On Tuesday, May 13, CBS and Dick Clark Productions announced that the R&B and pop legend will be handed the ICON Award during the telecast, along with performing. The AMAs called Jackson an artist “whose music has had undeniable cultural and global influence over the music industry,” with previous recipients being Rihanna in 2013 and Lionel Richie in 2022.
