This year's Newport Jazz Festival will feature Janelle Monáe, the Roots, Jacob Collier, Raye, and Jorja Smith.
Janelle Monáe, the Roots, and Jacob Collier will headline the three-day event, which will take place Aug. 1-3 at Fort Adams State Park in Rhode Island. The fest also features special pricing for students, who can acquire three-day tickets for $188 and single-day entry for $64. Plus, jazz legends Danilo Perez, John Patitucci, Terri Lyne Carrington, and Ravi Coltrane honored the legacy of Wayne Shorter, the saxophonist who died that same year.
