Once Farrell is gone, the rest of the band — including Navarro — stesp to the front of the stage to show appreciation to the crowd, appearing calm as they hug one another, applaud, tap their hearts and offer a peace sign. On setlist.fm, the notations section for the Boston show offered an ironic juxtaposition of trivia about the gig, reading: “Note: Stephen Perkins’ drum kit was outfitted with balloons in celebration of his birthday.
