Jamie-Lynn Sigler feared son Beau, 11, 'was going to die' after rare health condition put him in hospital

The Sopranos actress Jamie Lynn Sigler is now sharing some intimate details of her son Beau's fight for life last summer after being diagnosed with the ADE, admitting she was terrified he might die.

And while the now 11-year-old boy was able to recover and walk out of the hospital with a smile on his face in mid-August, the memories of Beau's time in the intensive care unit still remain fresh in his mom's mind. 'He was screaming in pain,' the actress revealed, resulting in Beau being admitted to the children's hospital, where he was diagnosed with acute disseminated encephalomyelitis, or ADEM, which causes inflammation of the central nervous system that can develop after a viral or bacterial infection. During the ordeal the Jericho, New York native leaned on the support of family and friends, including her MeSsy podcast co-host Christina Applegate, whom she revealed 'was there for me in a really scary moment.'
