Jamie Theakston 'thrown' from his motorbike on first day back at radio job after cancer battle


Radio presenter Jamie Theakston shared that he was 'thrown' from his motorbike as he made his return to Heart Breakfast on Monday morning after being declared 'cancer free'

On Friday, an ecstatic Jamie announced his comeback post-recovery from laryngeal cancer which had led him to take a break back in September. Jamie Theakston returned to the show after a hiatus, having been given the all-clear from cancer (Image: PA Media)The presenter explained that an additional lock he'd placed on his motorbike and subsequently forgotten, “threw” him “off the bike”. According to the NHS, laryngeal cancer affects the larynx and symptoms include pain when swallowing, a lump or swelling in the neck and a persistent sore throat.
