Jamie Lee Curtis & Christopher Guest Pledge $1 Million To Help Fire-Ravaged L.A.


Jamie Lee Curtis this morning pledged $1 million to start a fund to help her devastated hometown.

In an Instagram post today, Curtis write, “As the fire still rages on and @calfire @losangelesfiredepartment and all the available first responders and agencies involved in fighting fire and saving lives are still hard at work and neighbors and friends are banding together to save each other, my husband and I and our children have pledged $1 million from our Family Foundation to start a fund of support for our great city and state and the great people who live and love there. On Wednesday’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Curtis got emotional as the audience greeted her with great enthusiasm. Curtis, who described herself as an American Red Cross ambassador, advised people who might need “to flee” to prepare an emergency kit with their “prescription glasses, medicines, dog food, baby formula, all the things you’ll need…”
