Jamie Foxx’s Nurse Said He Only Had a 5% Chance of Survival After Medical Emergency

At the Golden Globes Red Carpet, Jamie Foxx shared how his nurse in Atlanta only gave him a 5% chance of survival after his brain bleed, leading him to re-assess life.

At the Golden Globes Red Carpet, Foxx told Marc Malkin, Variety ’s Senior Culture & Events Editor, that his nurse in Atlanta coined him “a five-percenter,” meaning that less than 5% of people walk out alive with Foxx’s severe brain bleeding and stroke. This isn’t the first time Foxx has publicly spoken about the 2023 incident: he was candid about his health during the Netflix comedy special “ What Had Happened Was,” which was released this past December. Foxx explained to Malkin how he thanked the nurse after she rolled up her sleeves, thinking it was because of his celebrity status.
