Jamie Foxx Gives 1st Live Performance Since Health Scare: 'Pure Joy'
Jamie Foxx got emotional while commemorating his first live performance since experiencing a terrifying health scare in 2023
“God is good … As I post these pictures, my heart and my soul is filled with nothing but pure joy,” 56, captioned behind-the-scenes pics from the filming of his upcoming stand-up special, One More Chance: An Evening with Jamie Foxx, via Instagram on Monday, October 14. Foxx went on to note that while his special is a stand-up show, it’s also “an artistic explanation of something that went terribly wrong but thanks to the great people in Atlanta especially Piedmont Hospital you enabled me to come back and be on stage and do what I love to do the most.” In the special, which will later stream on Netflix, Foxx will “share his journey through a serious health scare, filled with humor, heart, and inspiration,” per a September 2 post on the actor’s Instagram page.
