James Van Der Beek Takes Family Vacation Months After Cancer Treatment
James Van Der Beek took a family trip to Florida with his wife and six kids just months after completing colorectal cancer treatment
In a candid Instagram post also shared in March, James opened up about the past year being the “hardest” of his life, as well as the effect his cancer diagnosis has had on his family. “I’ve been privately dealing with this diagnosis and have been taking steps to resolve it, with the support of my incredible family,” the Dawson’s Creek alum, 47, told People on Sunday, November 3. The actor reflected on getting the chance to reconnect with his former costars on the Thursday, March 20, episode of Jana Kramer ‘s “Whine Down” podcast and shared, “I’ve gotten in touch with them recently and it’s just been so nice.”
