James Van Der Beek is overwhelmed by 'magical' family trip to see Egyptian pyramids: 'I'm still processing - and might be for the rest of my life'

James Van Der Beek was bowled over at the majesty of the ancient Egyptian pyramids and temples in an Instagram post he shared on Wednesday.

He revealed that the whole family had taken a trip out to see the remains of ancient Egyptian culture, including the iconic pyramids at Giza, just outside Cairo, and the Dendera Temple complex, which is several hours away via car. Another photo showed the Dawson's Creek star hugging his wife Kimberly passionately as they posed in front of what looked like a temple as they stood on the other bank of a body of water. James was traveling shortly after it was announced earlier in June that he had scored a role in the new Tubi series Sidelined: The QB And Me; pictured in April 2023 in Park City, Utah
