James Taylor Developing Stage Musical ‘Fire and Rain’ With Tracy Letts and David Cromer
James Taylor is partnering with writer Tracy Letts and director David Cromer on a stage musical, 'Fire and Rain.'
James Taylor ‘s hits are inspiring a new stage musical called “Fire and Rain.” The singer and songwriter has lined up some major talent in the effort. Taylor certainly has a long list of classic songs to draw on, including “Carolina in My Mind,” “Sweet Baby James,” “Mexico” and the title song “Fire and Rain.” He’s also known for his covers of other artists’ work, including Carole King’s “You’ve Got a Friend” and “How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved by You).” Producers on the project include Gail Berman, Sam Feldman, Michael Gorfaine and Jimmy Nederlander, who are working on the show in association with Frank Marshall and Jere Harris.
