James Patterson & MrBeast Penning Thriller Novel; TV & Film Rights Attracting Serious Heat
The rights to the book from the unlikely pairing are currently subject to a bidding war.
Deadline understands that book world’s highest grossing author, Patterson, and YouTube’s biggest star, MrBeast, have jointly penned the novel, which has shades of Squid Game. Prolific thriller writer Patterson has consistently raked in millions of dollars through books such as the Alex Cross novels, including Along Came a Spider. His Prime Video series Beast Games earlier this year became the streamer’s most-watched unscripted show after racking up 50 million views in 25 days.
