While production is still under way on his new Superman movie , director James Gunn is pulling double duty, directing new episodes of his Peacemaker series.
Max announced in February 2022 that the streaming service had renewed the show for Season 2, also revealing that Gunn would write and direct all eight episodes. 'Yes, we’ll be shooting Superman & Peacemaker simultaneously; yes, I’ve written all the episodes; but, no, in the interest of getting the show out there I won’t be able to direct them all (only some),' Gunn clarified. Cena stars as the title character alongside Danielle Brooks, Freddie Stroma, Jennifer Holland, Chukwudi Iwuji, Steve Agee and Robert Patrick.
