James Gunn Hints More ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ Stars Will Join DCU
Since taking the helm at DC Studios with Peter Safran, James Gunn has explained he's not opposed to casting MCU actors in the DCU.
After directing him as Peter Quill (aka Star-Lord) in all three installments of Guardians of the Galaxy, Gunn had fans talking when he posted a photo of Pratt visiting him on the set of Superman: Legacy in June. Pratt noted “there’s always a chance” he could make the leap to the competing franchise, but he refused to speculate which character he’d play. Last month, director Gunn celebrated on Instagram as filming wrapped on Superman: Legacy, which premieres on July 11, 2025.
