James Gunn Addresses Robert Pattinson Batman DCU Crossover Speculation

DC Studios has confirmed that Robert Pattinson will remain Batman in Matt Reeves’ standalone universe, separate from the new DC Universe continuity.

Their comments effectively ended fan hopes for a direct crossover between the actor’s current Batman iteration and the new DC Universe continuity. Regarding The Brave and the Bold, which does not yet have a release date, Peter Safran confirmed the project is currently in script development, with Andy Muschietti expected to be the first to review the screenplay. His HBO series The Penguin — which recently garnered critical acclaim — is already generating discussions about a potential second season, further expanding the reach of his Batman universe.
