Jake Quickenden on losing both dad and brother to cancer - 'I wanted the world to stop, but it doesn't'

Singer and TV personality Jake Quickenden has spoken out about the tragic loss of his father and brother to cancer, as he appeared on Channel 4's Sunday Brunch

Chatting on Sunday Brunch on October 20, the star spoke about the devastating impact of losing his younger brother Oliver and father, Paul, to bone cancer. Talking to hosts Tim Lovejoy and Simon Rimmer, Jake discussed his dedication to Stand Up To Cancer and involvement in the "100 Squats a Day" challenge, expressing just how close the cause is to his heart after his profound losses in 2010 and 2012. The star, whose wife Sophie is preparing to welcome their second child, demonstrated to presenters Tim Lovejoy and Simon Rimmer the correct way to do a squat, explaining how people can incorporate the challenge into their day, whether making a cuppa or doing household chores - the production crew adding trouser -ripping sounds effects for a bit of fun.
