Jake Gyllenhaal revealed that he developed a staph infection after filming a fight scene for Road House during a conversation with Conor McGregor on a new podcast episode.

The actor, 43, said he may have contracted the potentially life-threatening infection, which is caused when bacteria comes into contact with open wounds, after he accidentally cut his hand on a piece of glass, during a conversation with Conor McGregor on a new episode of the Armchair Expert podcast on Monday. The entertainer - who was recently spotted with his girlfriend Jeanne Cadieu- reassured the podcast's host, Dax Shepard, that Road House's crew ensured that his injuries were properly treated while he worked on the film.
