Jackie Chan Plans To Do His Own Stunts Until He Retires: “Which Is Never”

With more than 150 credits to his name over the past 60 years, Jackie Chan has no plans to stop performing his own stunts anytime soon.

As the Academy Award honoree reprises his role as Mr. Han in Karate Kid: Legends, premiering May 30 in theaters, he explained that doing stunts are in his “heart and soul” after making his doubling debut in Fist of Fury(1972). Although the film industry has evolved over the years with CGI and wirework allowing doubles to perform more complicated stunts, Chan remains a purist.
