Jack Harlow Is Not ‘Looking for No Hip-Hop Credibility’ on ‘Tranquility’

Jack Harlow released song 'Tranquility,' on which he claims he isn't seeking 'credibility' and instead is proud of what he's done and going to do.

Jack Harlow is ending 2024 by setting the record straight: “I ain’t lookin’ for no hip-hop credibility.” On Monday, the Kentucky rapper dropped a new single, “Tranquility,” an introspective track about his place in rap culture and why he thinks the best is yet to come. “Ain’t ’bout to let the world takе my smile away.” (He later admits, “The hate got to me, but I had to act straight, like I’m tryna seem hetero.”) The video captures Harlow walking through a gloomy city in a coat, beanie, and scarf as he drops self-reflective bars about his career to this point over a softer, slower beat.
