J-Hope Discharged From South Korean Military After Completing Mandatory Service


BTS member J-Hope has completed his mandatory service in the South Korean military. He was the second to enlist and served for 18 months.

J-Hope of BTS was discharged from military service at the army's 36th Infantry Division on October 17, 2024 in Wonju, Gangwon-do province, South Korea Han Myung-Gu/Getty Images Just before beginning his service, J-Hope released his J. Cole collaboration “On the Street.” It functioned as a parting gift to fans at the time and a foundational point to build on in the future.
