J. Cole Invokes Donald Trump’s Assassination Attempt on Single ‘Clouds’

J. Cole has released a new single, "Cloud," which reflects on AI and Donald Trump's assassination attempt.

The hazy track, produced by DZL and Omen, sees Cole rapping about the danger of AI and the assassination attempt on Donald Trump last year in Philadelphia. “I’m that bass in your trunk, the bullet that missed Trump/ the gun that jammed ’cause it seemed God had other plans,” Cole raps on the second verse. Earlier this week, he wrote on his blog that he wanted to be more consistent with sharing new music and keeping fans in the loop.
