ITV's McDonald and Dodds viewers double take as they spot noughties pop star in show
McDonald and Dodds returned to screens on Sunday night, and fans were left stunned after they only just realised a huge pop star is in the show - and played a major role
The show, which stars Jason Watkins and Tala Gouveia as the dynamic detective duo DCI Lauren McDonald and DS Dodds, has been a fan favourite since its 2020 debut. The gripping episode's synopsis teased: "When McDonald and Dodds discover the body of a woman that's been missing for over 35 years, they are sucked into an investigation that brings them into the dark heart of one of Bath's wealthiest families." It has all the things we know and love from classic British detective shows, and has been brought into the modern world in intricate, original stories by writer Robert Murphy."
