Kate Garraway made her return to Good Morning Britain on Thursday morning after time away from the role following the ill health and death of her beloved husband, Derek Draper

Kate, 56, has been away from her GMB role for an extended period of time, as she cared for her husband, Derek Draper, who suffered devastating effects of long covid before sadly passing away on January 3, aged 56. Less than a week after Derek's funeral, which took place on 2 February, Kate was back hosting GMB alongside her longtime pal and colleague, Ben, 49. Kate also shared about her 17 year old daughter Darcey's final conversation with Derek before he passed, telling him: "Dad if you can't do this we'll be ok - release yourself.
